In addition to yoga classes, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and spend time with Rajashree. There will also be lectures by Dr. Doreen Wiggins M.D., where we will discuss and understand various women’s issues.

Presenters

Dr. Doreen L Wiggins, MD FACOG, FACS

Dr. Doreen L Wiggins, MD FACOG, FACS is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery and Obstetrics & Gynecology at Brown University. She received her B.A. In Chemistry and Psychology in 1984 from the University of Rhode Island and her medical degree in 1988 from Brown University. She is the founder of Center Obstetrics & Gynecology in 1999. She pursued further medical training in 2003 at Women and Infants Hospital and completed a SSO Breast Disease Fellowship, and in 2009 graduated from the Intensive Course in Cancer Risk Assessment at the City of Hope in Los Angeles, California. She is currently enrolled at Brown University in the Executive Masters in Healthcare Leadership.  In 2000 she completed training as a children’s grief counselor at the Dougy Center in Oregon. She serves as Advisory Board member of Friends Way (RI’s only children’s grief center) and in the past has been the Vice President of the Board, and volunteered as a facilitator.  She was chosen in 2003 to be one of 26 cyclists in the Tour of Hope, a transcontinental bicycling relay with Lance Armstrong to promote cancer research and clinical trials. Dr Wiggins has continued her relationship with the Lance Armstrong Foundation serving as a delegate to meet with members of congress to support cancer research and has received grants through LAF for local cancer survivorship outreach programs.

Rajashree Choudhury

Rajashree Choudhury, Yoga Therapist, USA Yoga Founder born in Kolkata, India, Rajashree Choudhury started her yoga training at the urging of her parents at age four. She was a five-time winner of the National Indian Yoga Championship from 1979 to 1983.  With over 15 years in the East and 25 years in the West, Rajashree’s special focus has been on the emotional side of yoga and how yoga balances the energy of the human body and impacts not only disease, but also affects the body/mind/soul connection which constitutes vibrant health.  She also helped her husband create the highly successful Teacher Training program after more than ten years of teaching yoga in the United States. She conducts seminars on yoga and personal development worldwide. She also teaches her highly acclaimed and has a DVD Pregnancy Yoga Classes.

*If a spa appointment is made during a Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner, guests may request a meal
to be boxed for pickup by asking spa reception.
**Meals are served during the following times – 7:30-9:30am for Breakfast, 12-2:00pm for
Lunch, and 6:00-7:30pm for Dinner. Food will be put away at the ending times, but the dining
hall will remain open.

For all other retreats, please be sure to check the registration page specific to that retreat.

To encourage a healthy environment we ask that guest to not consume alcohol or meat in our public spaces, however guests may enjoy these items in their rooms. That being said our property is always smoke-free.

Yes, we ask that guests with food allergies simply inform us so we can communicate those needs to our chef. Typically we label potential allergens such as gluten, dairy and nuts.
