A VIRTUAL INTERACTION WITH
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
Gurudev has touched the lives of more than half a billion people globally with his humanitarian, spiritual, and peace-making work. He founded the Art of Living in 1981, and has been teaching breath-based meditation techniques for health and well-being for more than 40 years. His approach blends ancient Vedic wisdom with modern sensibility for a new leadership paradigm, and living a stress-free, violence-free society.
Millions of individuals worldwide have experienced calm, found peace, and inner resilience in the face of adversity through his programs. Check out the latest research out of Yale, Harvard, and UCLA on the power of Sudarshan Kriya.
Gurudev believes inner peace is the key to peace in the world outside. He has sought to build bridges between beliefs and religions to universalize wisdom and foster greater compassion, love, and mutual understanding for a stress-free, violence-free society. Standing for Gandhian values of non-violence, Gurudev has progressed peace in conflict-stricken areas such as Sri Lanka, Iraq, Venezuela, and Colombia.
During this retreat, you will have the unique opportunity to interact with, ask questions, and learn directly from Gurudev himself. You will also experience the science-backed techniques designed by Gurudev.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE
EXPERIENCE THE POWER OF YOUR BREATH
The Sudarshan Kriya
The Sudarshan Kriya (SKY Breath Meditation) utilizes specific rhythms of the breath to cleanse the body of accumulated stress and toxins, clear the mind of unwanted impressions, and allow for greater clarity and tranquility. 100+ independent studies back its immediate effectiveness.
Through regular practice, you can achieve a deeper state of rest for the entire system, beyond momentary relaxation. Research indicates that results are experienced from the very first session.
DISCOVER INNER SILENCE & DEEP REST
Sahaj Samadhi Meditation
Sahaj Samadhi Meditation is an ancient, effortless mantra-based technique. It facilitates deep rest and inner silence in the present moment, expands consciousness, and deepens self-connection. It brings the mind into the present moment.
If you’re looking for a way to remove unwanted thoughts and eliminate chatter of the mind, regret, anxiety, and worry, this technique helps you achieve that—effortlessly and effectively. The result is a clear peaceful state of mind that stays with you throughout the day.
ENHANCE YOUR WELL-BEING WITH NOURISHING FOOD
Soulful Dining Experience
Drawing on influences from the local harvest in Boone to Bombay and even the Caribbean, you’ll enjoy deeply satisfying vegetarian meals. Ayurvedic principles tell us to eat nature—real food grown by sun, soil, wind, and water full of nature’s prana, or life force. Our chefs know this, and they know that food prepared with love of the planet and the person being fed is the best food. Our campus is vegetarian and special dietary requests can be accommodated.
HOLISTIC WELL-BEING WITH AYURVEDA
Ayurvedic Living
The Art of Living Retreat Center is a premier destination for holistic wellness. The award-winning Shankara Ayurveda Wellness has been rated one of the best by USA Today, The Washington Post, InStyle, Organic Spa, SpaFinder, and more. In addition to meditation, breathwork, yoga, and knowledge sessions with Gurudev, the Creators Retreat includes an Ayurvedic cooking class, an Introduction to Ayurveda class, a sound bathing experience, and a fireside satsung. If you are arriving early on Thursday, you are welcome to book an Ayurvedic healing arts treatment for an additional cost.
WHAT YOU’RE COMMITTING TO
Being Fully Present
Please reserve your weekend for all three days of the retreat. Put aside your work and other engagements and plan to be fully present—for yourself and the group. Each precious moment is designed so that you leave the retreat replenished and with beautiful techniques to stay recharged in your daily life. While this is a deeply personal journey, certain group activities and conversations enrich your experience. Each session builds upon the session before and is guided by certified Art of Living teachers.
At the Art of Living, we believe that if everyone practiced meditation and breathwork, we would have a more peaceful society. So, we ask that you please share your experience with your followers. We will discuss these opportunities with each participant individually.
