Writing can be a practice, a prayer, a meditation, a way of life, and sometimes a way to life. Albert Flynn DeSilver, internationally published author of Writing as a Path to Awakening, guides your journey to discovering how to live your true creative potential through writing.
Albert carefully guides you through a variety of innovative writing prompts and dynamic mindfulness practices which you can integrate into your life each day…because as we all know, life keeps giving us material to write about. The act of writing is never separate from the practice of living consciously.
Throughout this experiential retreat, you’ll discover
- Writing and journaling as an exploration of consciousness and self-awareness
- Meditation/mindfulness to relax and cultivate creativity and self-compassion
- Conscious movement to relieve stress and connect to your body and nature
- Group discussion for sharing and creating community
You’ll have the opportunity to apply these exercises—and the workshop experience as a whole—to any writing project in any genre, whether you are journaling for emotional clarity and curiosity, writing a sleeve of poems, a memoir exploring your history and legacy, or the next great American novel.
Join us and discover the art of YOU, writing, and living mindfully!
This program is open to anyone; all levels of writing and yoga experience welcome. Psychologists, therapists, creative healers, teachers, and yoga instructors may find it especially of interest.
