We rely on our feet every day. Everything we do—exercise, work and play, pregnancy, aging—can affect the way feet feel and function. With 26 bones, 33 joints, and dozens of muscles, tendons, and ligaments in each foot, our physical foundation is some of the most complex anatomy in the entire body. If the feet aren’t able to move well–because of injury or a chronic condition brought on by a lifetime of restricted movement– it’s hard for the rest of our body to get the movement it needs!

Under the guidance of biomechanist Katy Bowman, this retreat invites you to explore the essentials of strong and flexible feet, enabling you to move gracefully and maintain essential balance and mobility as you age. Self-assessment tools and targeted exercises become your allies in addressing present foot concerns and fortifying against future challenges as Katy
explores the interconnected dance of toes, feet, ankles, knees, and hips. Through this exploration, you’ll learn the art of harmonizing their movements and optimizing their function to support a life of pain-free, effortless walking or running.

Arrival Day
4:00 pm Check-in begins; Rooms are ready by 4:00 pm, but if you arrive early we will hold your luggage at Reception.
