In today’s world, we are constantly bombarded with external stimuli and stressors that encourage us to desensitize, shutdown, and disconnect body from mind and spirit. We’re conditioned to grit our teeth and push through pain or discomfort—basically ignoring the warning messages that our nervous system faithfully sends us. Years later, we then find ourselves with chronic aches and pains that are difficult to shift out of or heal without medical intervention.
What if you could stop this trajectory? Or better yet, prevent it from even starting? It is possible! Join Raven Sadhaka Seltzer on this healing journey of therapeutic and restorative yoga and positional therapy techniques, meditation, guided visualization, and breath work to relieve neck and back aches. Ayurvedic lifestyle practices and alternative therapies will be discussed, and—because just healing the body is not enough—you’ll be guided to explore the emotional layers of your discomfort through various writing and creative exercises. You’ll learn how to
- Uncover movements and habits that are sabotaging your spinal health
- Heal yourself and your spine from the inside-out
- Relieve pain by reducing compression on nerves
- Calm the entire nervous system and trigger the Relaxation Response
- Bring body, mind, and spirit back to balance.
Whether you have a chronic condition, or are seeking preventative help with alignment/posture and gentle core strengthening, this workshop will restore, rejuvenate, and renew. You’ll take home a set of easy-to-use healing tools and experience deep, long-lasting deep wholeness and healing.
Open to everyone; geared toward people with spinal aches and pains. This workshop is not recommended for those who are in acute pain. No previous yoga experience is necessary. Various modifications will be offered using supportive props, and chairs will be available for use.
