Understand How You and Your Partner Really Work

“People are complex,” says Stan Tatkin, PsyD, MFT, clinician, teacher, and developer of the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy® (PACT). “We don’t come with manuals that explain and automate the process of getting along.”

Even if we did, we aren’t robots: what works for one person or relationship won’t necessarily work for another. Nor does it work to fly blind, as many couples do, and expect relationships to fall simply into place.

PACT changes everything. Developed based on cutting-edge research in neuroscience, attachment theory, and nervous-system arousal, this PACT-inspired workshop offers you an understanding of the basic principles that make a relationship successful.

“The couple bubble is an agreement to put the relationship before anything and everything else. It means putting your partner’s well-being, self-esteem and distress relief first. And it means your partner does the same for you. You both agree to do it for each other. Therefore, you say to each other, “We come first.” ―Stan Tatkin, Wired for Love

During this fun and interesting weekend of teaching, interactive exercises, and experimenting, you and your partner will:

  • Learn specific ways to create a successful relationship together
  • Identify one another’s attachment styles
  • Read body language and recognize triggered states
  • Understand how to manage conflict and integrate mind and body to build a secure-functioning relationship
  • Begin to construct a personalized owner’s manual for your relationship.

Stan and Tracey will explain the fundamental biological realities of human bonding and reveal the psychobiological particulars of each one of us. As a result, you will come to understand how you and your partner really work.

The tools you will be shown are invaluable and ready to use immediately in your relationship. Don’t miss this interactive retreat for everyone interested in relationship success and long-term happiness.

This workshop welcomes couples of all genders and sexual orientations.

Stan is an incredible teacher. In a few hours, he was able to impart a depth of understanding that I figured would take months. He doesn’t teach knowledge, he teaches understanding. Very helpful workshop on becoming a better couple.

I came with an intention to be open, [to] truly understand and learn about myself and my partner and interplay, and absolutely came away with that. Stan and Tracey created a safe environment that allowed us to be vulnerable, which truly enhanced our learning. Thank you!
