Journey to the Self through Asana & Pranayama

Deepen your practice of Iyengar yoga and experience a new level of self-awareness that brings clarity, peace, and strength. Rooted in the ancient wisdom of yoga, Iyengar places great focus on alignment and sequencing and features practices to promote holistic health and balance, healing and personal growth.

This immersion will expand your knowledge of the Iyengar lineage and provide a supportive space for you to develop your asana, pranayama and meditative work. As the days progress, you’ll follow a thread of learning in which each practice and philosophy discussion builds on the last – whether you start the immersion as a beginner or seasoned practitioner.

During this four day experience you can expect to:

· Explore the layers of your Self, from the physical body to the more subtle emotional and energetic bodies.

· Cultivate mindful movement and develop your physical understanding of yoga postures.

· Gain new insight into your personal potential and let go of habitual patterns.

· Learn how to adapt asanas to be safe and beneficial for your unique body.

With clear guidance and skillful adjustments you’ll move into postures with ease, and explore the power of breathing techniques with confidence and joy.

Yoga students of all levels are welcome – including beginners and yoga teachers.

A warning about using GPS!

We do not recommend using your GPS for driving directions, as many roads are incorrectly marked in the navigation system and inputting our address will take you on a wild ride. Instead, we recommend using Google maps (above). Many prefer to travel the Blue Ridge Parkway route only May through October since the road closes often in winter.
