Overview

Join us on the Seven Chakras Yoga Retreat and be guided through juicy practices targeted to each of the seven chakras of the yogic energetic system. During sunrise and sunset yoga classes you will be carefully and gracefully led back into the sanctity of your body and offered many levels of mental, physical, and spiritual practices according to your needs. Through the lens of the chakra system and Zen Meditation, you will also gain new tools for working with stress and tension in your life.

Return home feeling physically refreshed, mentally sharpened, and energetically fortified. Through classes in Longevity Yoga and Chakra Meditation, you’ll be equipped with practices that are safe and powerful to take with you for the rest of your life.

*Private yoga instruction and Thai yoga bodywork will also be available

Items to bring: Yoga wear and warm clothes (as the weather can be a bit chilly). Also consider bringing some good shoes for walking and hiking if those activities are of interest. We will be working with one of the chakras per yoga session, and each chakra has a color associated with it. It can be helpful to dress to match the chakra with a scarf, shirt, piece of jewelry, etc. We will be going in rainbow order starting with red, then orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and white. This is by no means required, but can be a good way to connect with the energy of the session.

About the Teacher


Tucker Shelton M.A., 500 E-RYT has been studying yoga for ten years and teaching for nine. His style is light-hearted but deeply transformative. He prides himself as being a “Yoga Mutt,” as he holds 780 RYT training hours in Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin, Restorative, Bhakti Vinyasa, Vini, Senior, Therapeutic, Children’s, Pre/Postnatal, Vinyasa Krama, Anusara, Shadow, and Kaula Tantra Yoga forms. He has also studied 200 hours of Thai Yoga Massage in Chiang Mai, Thailand and has a Masters with Honors in Contemplative Religious Studies and Sanskrit Language from Naropa University in Boulder, CO. He has taught and studied throughout the United States and around the world, from New Zealand to India to Mexico.

*Free Time activities can be whatever you choose (silent reflection, journaling, etc.) – AOLRC also offers an Ayurvedic Spa, a Pottery Studio, a Labyrinth, walking trails, and other attractions. Tucker is also available for Private Yoga Sessions and/or Thai Yoga Stretching and Acupressure Sessions at a rate of $80/hour or $100/1.5hr.
