Explore the fundamental principles of Ayurveda, the sister medicinal science to yoga, and learn how to apply them not only to your diet and lifestyle, but also your yoga practice.

Through the nourishing power of Ayurveda, combined with the rhythmic flow of Vinyasa yoga, understand what it means not just to survive in life but truly thrive.

You will be guided through several Ayurvedically informed yoga practices aimed to balance your body, mind and soul. The harmonizing effects of meditation and mindful eating will support you further in integrating wellness into your life. You will also learn how to build and develop your own home practice that is appropriate for the season, the time of day and the mood you are in and will deeply settle your mind, body and heart.

Embrace your individuality in the Springtime Ayurveda and Vinyasa Retreat as you refill your well and return home recharged, with new tools to help you be your most healthy and brilliant self.

Retreat will be of particular interest to yoga teachers, nutritionists, yoga practitioners and vinyasa yogi students, medical doctors and healthcare workers.

Yoga Alliance CE credits available.

Open to yoga students practicing for at least 6 months.

 

About the Teacher


Sarajean Rudman M.S., M.A., 500 E-RYT, AP
Sarajean Shakti Rudman wants you to be well. A New England-based Yogini, leading teacher at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, Clinical Nutritionist, Integrative Health Practitioner, Ayurvedic Practitioner, researcher in global health as well as complementary and alternative medicines, and outdoor adventure guide, she has over a decade of experience across many diverse fields in health and wellness to support you.

In addition to certifications in multiple fitness modalities, Sarajean’s undergraduate degree is in Health and Wellness and Sports Management, she holds an M.S. in Integrative Health and Clinical Nutrition, and an M.A. in Health and Wellness Coaching. Sarajean is a doctoral student studying Health Sciences and Healthcare Education at University of Bridgeport, expected to graduate in 2020. These Western credentials are balanced with a 500-hour ERYT, as well as Kripalu Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher and an Ayurvedic Practitioner Certifications. Sarajean’s embodies, through her studies and experiences, the synergy and harmony that Eastern and Western science and philosophy can exist in together, bringing people together in community and helping them find their healthy balance. In her spare time, you can find her cultivating her own wellness through playing with her many dogs, cooking, running, hiking, SUP, outdoor adventures, forest bathing and hot yoga.
