A Personal Journey for Renewal and Healing

Ready for a relaxing weekend retreat that nourishes mind, body and spirit? Join us at Art of Living as together we practice the art of letting go.  Along with nurturing yoga and mindfulness practices, learn how we are both the creators and the cure for too much stress in our lives.  Cultivate a sense of inner peace and revisit the path of living life in balance.
Self-exploration is encouraged as you enjoy free time and reconnect with nature, receive a spa treatment, read a book, take a pottery class, or enjoy the simple pleasure of taking a restorative nap.  This weekend affords an opportunity to renew, restore and remember the comfort and ease of reconnecting with the deeper aspects of who you are.

Program Details
Reconnect with yourself and your surroundings through yoga, meditation, pranayama, and mindful awareness sessions with Debra Young and Barbara James.  This retreat includes the opportunities to:

  • Practice skillfulness through specialized
  • Mindful breathing
  • Mindful eating
  • Mindful movement
  • Improve your newly found skills with peaceful walks through nature.
  • Participate in group discussion and sharing sessions
 

About the teachers

Barbara James and Debra Young, Living Yoga 4 Peace, believe that living mindfully is the key to living joyfully and compassionately. Their teaching is centered around the importance of deepening awareness with each breath, thought, step, or action that is taken throughout the day. By living more mindfully, you can become more compassionate and peaceful in your daily life.

 

Debra Young

LPC, CCHt, RYT-500 is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in wellness and mind-body psychotherapy. As a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Debra embodies a holistic approach to healing that combines a mixture of methods including: counseling, health and wellness coaching, as well as hypnosis, meditation, and yoga practices. She has over 21 years of yoga practice and teaching experience and looks forward to helping individuals facilitate positive change via personal growth and a sense of self-empowerment.

 

Barbara James

E-RYT 500, Barbara has well over 2000 hours of yoga teaching experience, and in her teaching encourages breath and body awareness, mindful movement, and honoring one’s own limits. In addition to her original 500+ hours of teacher training, in 2016 she completed an additional 300-hour yoga teacher training in yoga therapeutics, the elements of which she now incorporates into her teaching.
