Join Val Spies, director/owner of the Lotus Pond Center for Teacher Training, to deepen your practice of yoga and meditation. Experiential learning techniques will support you in the smooth transition to the deeper layers of your practice. Study pranayama and learn the significance of chakras in finding peace and maintaining well being in your physical and subtle body and explore fundamental yogic texts such as Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra, the eightfold path.
With time for self reflection and inspiration plus outdoor activities to appreciate the beauty of the surrounding Blue Ridge mountains, this promises to be an insightful journey of exploration.
Items to bring: Yoga clothing and attire for hiking.
The retreat is suitable for intermediate to advanced level yoga practitioners.

Val Spies is the owner/director of the Lotus Pond Center for Yoga Teacher Training for the past 13 years. She offers teacher training certifications at the 200 and 500hr levels. After many years as a national airline corporate manager of training, she decided to transform these instructional skills into communicating the life changing studies of yoga. Val provides workshop experiences that are fun, experiential, and yet dive very deep into the beneficial practices of yoga and meditation. Students travel nationally and internationally to participate in her transformative programs.
