October 2, 2024
Dear friends,
Thank you to everyone who has inquired about the status and safety at the Art of Living Retreat Center as a result of Hurricane Helene. We are happy to share that our team is safe and doing well. We are incredibly grateful for the efforts of our staff and volunteers, who have worked tirelessly to ensure the well-being of our guests and the safety of our property during the recent storm.
Our hearts go out to the local community members who have been impacted by the storm. In response, we have been distributing food and supplies to those in need, and we continue to assess our resources as we explore additional ways to support the community in its recovery.
We are closed until Wednesday, October 9. While the Center remains operational and accessible, the Department of Transportation has asked that all roads in Western North Carolina be closed to non-emergency travel.
We are hopeful that we will be able to reopen next week, depending on government travel restrictions, and we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the storm, and we look forward to welcoming you to the retreat center soon.
With gratitude,
Art of Living Retreat Center
