Program Overview

Local Volunteers assist in various departments based on their skills, interests, preferred time commitment, and the Center’s needs. The program begins with a new volunteer orientation, then you’ll be assigned an area based on our needs and your interests.

Roles & Responsibilities

Local Volunteers assist in various departments based on their skills, interests, and the Center’s needs. Scheduling is planned in advance, with additional opportunities during busier times.

Events Assist with event logistics, guest support, and coordination.
Kitchen & Dining Support meal preparation, service, and cleanup.
Transportation Help with guest arrivals and shuttle services.
Garden Participate in seasonal planting, maintenance, and harvesting.
Housekeeping Contribute to maintaining clean and welcoming spaces.
Administration Provide office support, including data entry and organization.
Retail Assist in our gift shop or retail spaces.
Outreach Help promote programs and events in the local community.

Provide three reference letters from leaders of previous volunteer experiences, past employers, or others who can speak to your ability to thrive in our program.

Applications are reviewed promptly. Once accepted, you must commit to the full term of the program. Note To help ensure a safe and supportive environment for all, volunteers who are selected will complete a background check during onboarding.
