Heal Core Symptoms of Early Trauma

Tired of navigating your healing journey alone through screens and webinars? Here’s your chance to spend a weekend with The Crappy Childhood Fairy, Anna Runkle, and a compassionate community of people sharing the path of healing childhood PTSD.

This retreat provides a nurturing space where you can delve into the core of your trauma, tackle the painful symptoms of Childhood PTSD, and learn practical strategies for sustainable healing. Dive deep into Anna’s renowned Daily Practice techniques, guided by her gentle yet powerful healing method—the Crappy Childhood Fairy approach. From group discussions to physical movement to journaling to meditation—every session is designed to help you reclaim your sense of ease, joy, and freedom.

We don’t dwell on the past or the people who harmed us. Instead, the focus is on healing present-day trauma symptoms and breaking free from trauma-driven behaviors.

  • Learn the core symptom that drives most other trauma symptoms— neurological dysregulation—and how to tell when it’s happening.
  • Identify and reduce the triggers that cause you to experience dysregulation—neurological and emotional.
  • Learn practical tools to master re-regulation and stay regulated more of the time.
  • Expand your capacity to connect with others and break isolation.

Patrick Teahan, a fellow survivor and advocate for childhood trauma recovery, leads a special Saturday session on Inner Childhood work, offering unique insights and support.

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience genuine support from Anna, her team, and your newfound peers as you discover your true self. Join us and embark on a path to lasting transformation.

Recommended (but not required) viewing The Daily Practice (free online course), by Anna Runkle.

This retreat is open to everyone but is not appropriate for those in mental health crisis.

Seeing the Crappy Childhood Fairy live was genuinely life-changing. For those of us with childhood trauma, it's such a validating experience to hear the stories & the truth of someone as honest, vulnerable and empowering as Anna. I love her videos but sitting next to her as she reflects the raw truth of her life made me a different person. If she can rise, I can rise.

My experience at The Fairy’s NYC workshop was profound and life changing. Walking into a room full of people that are also battling CPTSD gave me an instant sense of belonging. Hearing Anna tell her story and witnessing her bravery in sharing her healing journey so others can heal has been so inspirational!

Anna's eagerness to help mend the negative behaviors that often block our capacity to lead a full and happy life was evident in every aspect of her program. The attendees were caring and supportive, and it was a wonderful opportunity to make new friends. I highly recommend her events!

Finally!! Someone who can name the symptoms in non-clinical terms. Being around others like me with childhood trauma was so healing. I found a group that makes me feel less “crazy.” Anna is amazing and the social activities were very insightful and more proof that I’m not alone. I found my people. I encourage you to attend one of Anna's events where you can be yourself and feel accepted.

Yes, we ask that guests with food allergies simply inform us so we can communicate those needs to our chef. Typically, we label potential allergens such as gluten, dairy, and nuts.

We are committed to the safety of our guests and staff. Our mountaintop location and the surrounding areas are spacious, remote, safe, and secure.

  • It is safe to leave your windows open—and necessary for proper airflow!
  • Nature surrounds our campus, and it’s common to see rabbits, deer, gophers, wild turkeys, and other small animals. Please give them space, and they’ll do the same for you. We’ve never had a safety incident with animals on campus.

You can help!

  • There’s no need to bring valuables to the retreat center; leaving them at home is best.
