Nina Rao is a sacred chant artist, spiritual teacher, and conservation advocate whose devotional voice has touched hearts around the world. Born in South India, Nina learned traditional bhajans from her grandfather at the age of nine—seeds that quietly took root and later blossomed into a lifelong path of practice and service.
In 1996, she reconnected with the power of chanting alongside Krishna Das, and for over two decades she has toured with him as his assistant and cymbal-playing vocal accompanist. Her own music blends timeless mantras with a grounded, soulful presence. Nina’s debut album, Antarayaami – Knower of All Hearts, was released in 2013, followed by her fully crowd-funded second album, Anubhav, in 2018.
Beyond music, Nina serves as a bridge between inner and outer worlds. She is the founder of Saving Wild Tigers, a conservation initiative protecting India’s sacred forests and wildlife, and hosts a podcast on the Be Here Now Network exploring the intersection of spiritual practice and ecological stewardship.
Through her voice, presence, and purpose-driven path, Nina invites others into a deeper intimacy with the natural world, the divine, and the stillness of their own hearts.
