Connect to the rhythms of nature for health and well-being.
The science of Ayurveda—a time-tested 5000-year-old natural system of medicine—is based on strengthening the body, mind, and spirit with holistic practices and therapies. While Ayurveda has always emphasized the significance of a connection with nature, Western scientists have only recently begun to grasp the importance. This disconnection from the circadian rhythms has been linked to a host of health concerns, including poor cognitive function, mood and sleep disorders, diabetes, obesity, daytime sleepiness, reduced school performance, substance abuse, heart disease, and some cancers.
Ayurveda tells us that on any given day, there are two cycles of change that exist—the sun cycle and the moon cycle—and they are connected with the Ayurvedic body type or doshas (vata, pitta, or kapha). Dinacharya (a Sanskrit word made up of ‘dina’ meaning day and ‘acharya’ meaning activity) is a daily routine designed to connect us to our circadian rhythms, or the internal body clock.
Dinacharya guides us—based on our unique constitution—on the best times to sleep, eat, exercise, work, relax, and more. We’ll explore this daily routine and how to incorporate its components into your life with
- Meditation and mindfulness for better sleep, emotional balance, and a quieter mind
- Yoga and pranayama to alleviate stress, promote relaxation, and naturally lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels
- Self-care practices that nurture physical, mental, and emotional well-being, balance hormones, and promote longevity
- Herbal treatments, oils, and dietary practices that promote healthy, beautiful skin
- Ayurvedic routines and therapies to reduce inflammation, increase energy, and promote healing
- Detoxifying spices, herbs, and other dietary components to optimize digestion and organ function
- Spiritual practices that unite body, mind, and soul—promoting healing from within.
This experiential program is ideal for anyone looking for accessible, holistic ways to live a more authentic and balanced life. You’ll learn practices and tips to keep you feeling confident, balanced, and happy.
