Overview: We are looking for an experienced Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retreat center as well as provide strategic direction. This individual will plan and supervise the activities of an extensive and diverse workforce to ensure the smooth and profitable running of the business. It is important for the Hotel Manager to be involved in all aspects of the operations. He/She will be just as responsible for dealing with complaints as for strategizing and preparing reports. You will be a key person of reference for employees and clients as well as external vendors. The Hotel Manager must be able to guide the employees to work as a well-functioning team. The ideal candidate will be a team player and an effective leader, able to set examples and foster a climate of cooperation. The goal is to enhance customer dedication and expand our clientele by strengthening our retreat center’s reputation.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise work at all levels and set clear objectives
  • Plan activities and allocate responsibilities to achieve the most efficient operating model
  • Manage budgets/expenses, analyze and interpret financial information and monitor sales and profits
  • Train front desk staff and Maintain high levels of customer service for guests
  • Communicate with customers when appropriate (welcome them in the facilities, address their complaints, find solutions to problems, offer information, etc.)
  • Set up a robust reservations desk to efficiently handle incoming calls and develop an outbound calls strategy to acquire new customers.
  • Work with housekeeping staff to maintain high quality of the guest rooms
  • Deal with maintenance issues, shortages in staff or equipment, renovations, etc.
  • Collaborate with external parties such as suppliers, travel agencies, etc.
  • Inspect facilities regularly and enforce strict compliance with health and safety standards

Skills:

  • Proven experience as Hotel Manager or relevant role
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • Understanding of all hotel management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines
  • Working knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of hotel management software (PMS) is an advantage
  • Excellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset
  • Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Outstanding leadership skills and a great attention to detail

Education/Experience:

  • 1-3 Year’s experience in Hotel Management

Art of Living Retreat Center (www.artoflivingretreatcenter.org) is hiring a Retreat Coordinator. The Center hosts workshops and retreats that takes guests deeper into the rich experience of life.

Summary


Looking for a hands on Retreat Coordinator who will handle all programing logistics and back office retreat operations. The Retreat Coordinator will support the Retreat Supervisor in overseeing that all retreat details are complete. Also acts as the point of contact for on-site groups and makes sure all their needs are met.

Job Duties

  • Maintain high levels of customer service for guests
  • Maintain standardized procedures for retreat leaders and guest reservations
  • Ensure accurate billing invoices then resolve billing issues and recommend procedural changes or additional training to avoid future issues
  • Work with management to prepare for events and busy periods
  • Work with group leaders and group coordinators to make sure all needs are met
  • Support admin duties with preparing Group contracts
  • Available to work on weekends when most guests are present on property
  • Maintain frequent communication with all work areas to ensure that group and guest service efficiency and performance standards are achieved
  • Coordinate and organize travel needs for guest faculty
  • Develop and implement procedures and training manuals as needed
  • Assist with Program Space Orientation

Art of Living Retreat Center (www.artoflivingretreatcenter.org) is hiring an Operations Executive Assistant. The Center hosts workshops and retreats that takes guests deeper into the rich experience of life.

Position Summary: This position would assist the Director of Operations in daily administrative and operational tasks. The Operations Assistant must maintain strict confidentiality with records, reports, letters, emails, telephone calls, etc.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Director of Operations on all ongoing Project Co-ordination and communications .
  • Prioritizes, organizes, coordinates, and monitors the completion of projects and/or assignments on behalf of the Director of Operations
  • Attends meetings as requested by the Director of Operations and takes minutes
  • Distributes all incoming correspondence to relevant parties
  • Responsible for distributing and maintaining Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Retreat Center.
  • When approved by the Operations Director, the Operations Assistant may assist the Retreat Operations such as Front Desk, Dining etc. during high occupancy days
  • Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems
  • Maintains Operations Director’s appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, teleconferences, and travel.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly reports by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Give property tours to special guests as needed
  • Support in Employee HR Tasks
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Assist in purchasing and documenting receipts in a timely manner
  • Coordinates logistics for certain groups, conferences and large scale events when needed.
