Discover how to live a happier, healthier life.
The science of Ayurveda—an ancient natural system of medicine—has helped people maintain vitality and health for thousands of years. Ayurveda teaches us how to attain optimal health through a deeper understanding of ourselves and our unique nature in relationship to the world around us. It is a system based on strengthening the body, mind, and spirit through disciplines such as massage, meditation, yoga, diet, herbal medicine, special oils, and unique ancient treatments that integrate science and nature, allowing the body’s own natural healing mechanisms to work to their fullest potential.
During the retreat, you’ll explore
- Diet and lifestyle habits to maintain good health and longevity
- Meditation and mindfulness practices for better sleep, quieter mind, and overall clarity
- Practices that alleviate stress, promote relaxation, and naturally lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels
- Understanding dosha and constitution to regain stamina and re-energize the body
- Self-care practices to nurture physical, mental, and emotional well-being
- Essential oils and breathing practices to balance hormones
- Ayurvedic routines and therapies to reduce inflammation, increase energy, and promote healing

Ayurveda is all about the body being in tune with the rhythm of nature. As humans, it’s easy to get disconnected—or think we are separate—from nature.
Ayurveda is all about the body being in tune with the rhythm of nature. As humans, it’s easy to get disconnected—or think we are separate—from nature. However, we exist as a microcosm of the macrocosm and that means we should be aligning our bodies with nature instead of fighting against it. Ayurveda’s 5,000-years-old system of medicine includes in-depth analysis of circadian rhythms, aging cycles, seasonal cycles, and accessible and sustainable lifestyle instructions on how to take care of our bodies to maintain equilibrium with these cycles and nature.
Ayurveda principles are based on the five elements: ether, air, fire, water, and earth.
Ayurveda principles are based on the five elements: ether, air, fire, water, and earth. These elements work well in pairs—vata (ether and air), pitta (fire and water) and kapha (water and earth)—which is where we get doshas or constitutions. Each person has a unique elemental constitution, similar to how we think of genetic makeup in Western medicine. Once you determine your dosha (or constitution), you can then identify imbalances and adjust them with diet and lifestyle choices to create an environment conducive to healing.
It can be frustrating when you devote a lot of time and effort to eat healthy and do not see results in your weight or health.
It can be frustrating when you devote a lot of time and effort to eat healthy and do not see results in your weight or health. No one diet works for everyone, every person is unique in their response to food and diet. Once you learn your specific constitution and imbalances, Ayurveda allows you to build a custom diet that is conducive to your body and your specific goals.
Not only does Ayurveda have the power to help get your body get back into balance, it can also naturally help to slow down aging.
Not only does Ayurveda have the power to help get your body get back into balance, it can also naturally help to slow down—and even reverse—the process in which cells degenerate (decline) as you get older. There are certain Ayurveda dietary and lifestyle practices, as well as herbs, that can reduce the symptoms of aging by regenerating cells. By better understanding our doshic (similar to our genetic) makeup, and taking care of our bodies inside and out, we can age gracefully, naturally.
Many people consider only food when they think about a healthy lifestyle. However, lifestyle plays a big role.
Many people consider only food when they think about a healthy lifestyle. However, there are habits that can either create healing or great turmoil within our bodies. For example, not waking up before sunrise can create excessive drowsiness or result in excessive mucus build up in some individuals. Every woman is unique—they have different imbalances, are at different stages of life, and should adopt lifestyle habits that are unique to their needs. This program helps you determine those imbalances and habits to adjust and gives you the tools to easily make real changes in your health.
It makes sense that very few people actually know how to care for themselves, considering that is not something that is taught in school.
It makes sense that very few people actually know how to care for themselves, considering that is not something that is taught in school. Often times there are not role models to show us what it’s like to care for ourselves well. You’ll learn how to care for your mind, body, and spirit in a supportive, compassionate environment. Our faculty can’t wait to share their knowledge and expertise with you so you can thrive in all aspects of your life.
