Note Although all hiking paces are welcome, participants should be capable of completing a four-mile hike at a moderate pace. You will receive more information upon registration and will be required to sign a waiver.

Gary Marcoccia is a wilderness expedition leader and tenured professor of Natural & Applied Sciences from Santa Cruz, California. His scientific research explores the powerful effects of nature on human health, both physical and mental. He has led expeditions around the globe for over twenty years ranging from deep jungle treks to volcano climbs, and from traversing the Pyrenees to first-descent white water kayak runs. He has made curriculum contributions to the field of wilderness education and has taught courses for wilderness outfitters, retreat venues and institutions of higher education.

4:00 pm Check-in begins; Rooms are ready by 4:00 pm, but if you arrive early we will hold your luggage at Reception.
